In the aftermath of the September 5 coastal incident, officials have confirmed the emergence of an Angel. One of several known threats to regional stability. The disturbance was initially triggered by a UN deep-crust survey, which unintentionally reawakened the entity offshore. Following initial containment by Evangelion units, a high-yield Non-Nuclear (N²) mine was deployed by UN command to halt the Angel’s advance. The operation caused localized damage but successfully delayed further threat escalation.
In response, the United Nations Disaster Relief Task Force, in coordination with the Japan Strategic Self-Defense Force (JSSDF), has deployed emergency aid teams to assist with recovery efforts. Humanitarian operations are ongoing.
“We are fully committed to ensuring the safety and stability of Tokyo-3,” said a UN spokesperson. “Our teams will remain on-site to support reconstruction efforts and assist those affected by this tragic event.”
NERV officials have reassured the public that all critical infrastructure remains secure, and that Tokyo-3’s automated defense systems successfully mitigated further damage. Further updates will be provided as assessments continue.
