Following the September 5 offshore seismic event, government sources confirmed the awakening of a dormant Angel which soon made land fall to mainland Japan early on the 5th.These "Angels" are mysterious, highly destructive entities that have threatened global security in recent months.
The incident began after a UN geological drilling probe off the coast of Japan triggered intense tectonic activity. Though initial containment efforts were spearheaded by Evangelion units under NERV command, the Angel's resistance led UN forces to authorize deployment of a Non-Nuclear (N²) mine. The blast significantly halted the entity's advance but caused damage to several coastal districts.
From September 6 to 17, coordinated search and rescue efforts were carried out by the United Nations Disaster Relief Task Force alongside Japan’s Strategic Self-Defense Force (JSSDF). Personnel worked around the clock to deliver humanitarian aid, stabilize collapsed structures, and restore essential infrastructure.
“We faced a catastrophic situation,” stated a JSSDF spokesperson. “But our collaboration with UN engineers and local responders made a swift recovery possible.” Over 4,000 civilians were safely relocated from the most affected sectors.
Though Evangelion units are primarily deployed for direct Angel engagements, NERV has confirmed that they remained on high alert throughout the operation. Defense systems across Tokyo-3 remained active, preventing further civilian loss.
As of September 12, officials confirm the threat has been neutralized. Monitoring efforts and infrastructure assessments continue.
